The sign on message displayed as the D770 "boots up" and they're not
kidding about the InfoLITHIUM system -- you'll see the exact minutes of
battery time remaining displayed on all the other screens shown on this
page. It's nice to know exactly how much battery power you have
left.

This is the main menu displayed when you press the Menu button on the
back next to the color LCD.

This Display Set menu which allows you to enable or disable the display
of certain information on the LCD screen during Record operations.

To set the advanced features of the D770 you turn the Mode Dial on
the side to the desired position and then press and hold the shift button in
the center while turning the shift dial. Some options can be changed while
watching the small LCD data display but most require you to view them on
the big color LCD on the back.

The "heart" of the D770's real camera modes -- Programmed (Automatic),
Aperture-Priority, Shutter-Priority or Full Manual operation.

The Drive Menu lets you set the D770 for 1Shot (single shot), Continuous1,
Continuous2, Selftimer or Interval Recording.

The Flash modes are: Automatic, Always On (Fill), Always Off or
External (external flash in the hot shoe).

The Image Size can be 1344 x 1024, 640 x 480 or 2X Digital Zoom

Image Quality can be Super (TIFF Uncompressed) or High, Middle or Low
(JPEG Compressed).

White Balance settings are Automatic, Hold, Outdoor or Indoor.

This is one of the newest additions to the D770 that the D700 does not have,
a professional histogram display. It can be set to automatically popup during
the record preview display or during playback mode.

As with most all digital cameras the D770 has a thumbnail playback mode
that shows a preview of stored images so you quickly select one for
fullscreen display.

Here is a typical playback screen with all of the onscreen information
turned on and displayed.

And here we have the Play Menu showing all of the available options you
can select from during playback operations.
