The UV filter (shown above) can be left on the camera at all times and prevents damage to the lens as well as those pesky fingerprints. The UV filter absorbs ultraviolet light so it helps improve the sharpness of your outdoor pictures.

F-DL Flourescent

These pictures were shot in my office which is illuminated by a 4-tube flourescent fixture mounted on the ceiling. The one on the left is with no filter on the lens and shows an overall blue tint. The picture on the right shows more natural color thanks to the FD-L flourescent filter.

C-PL Polarizer

The picture on the left is with no filter and the picture on the right is using the Circular Polarizing filter. Notice how it has all but eliminated the reflections on the side of my van. It works well for water, glass and metal reflections and also darkens areas of the sky.

The filter is turned as you view through the LCD to see the changes as it cuts off the light reflection at different angles.

C-PL Polarizer

Here's two more pictures using the polarizing filter. The one on the left has the filter rotated to the point where the sky is the darkest. The picture on the right has the filter rotated until the asphalt parking lot was the blackest.
