Sony Ericsson's Xperia pro was originally slated to debut in June of this year, but delays have pushed the Android (Gingerbread) based phone to later this year. The Xperia pro features a host of connectivity and high resolution entertainment options, including WiFi, Bluetooth, and Sony's Mobile BRAVIA engine, which is designed to make the 3.7-inch "Reality Display" (854x480pixels) look sharp and crisp. Sony has also included its Exmor R mobile CMOS sensor captures 8.1 megapixels of high res photos as well as 720p HD video recording (which can then be viewed on your HDTV thanks to the HDMI output).
The Xperia pro is designed to work on GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA mobile networks. For those tired of touchscreen typing, this mobile phone has a slide out full Qwerty "Smart Keyboard". Smart Keyboard functionality takes your current task at hand (browsing the web, reading email or Facebook) and gives you certain prompts (reply, reply all, or forward?, etc.) when you slide out the keyboard. There's also FM Radio, YouTube, video streaming, Motion / 3D gaming capabilities.

Pricing and a specific release date remain up in the air, but the Sony Ericsson Xperia pro should be in stores by the end of 2011, most likely in quarter four (Oct-Dec).
