Playback Mode Screens & Menus

Here you can see a typical Playback screen with icons for battery condition, continuous playback time (131 min.), image size, picture number / total number of pictures, and the date & time of capture. Across are bottom the active icons that allow you to enter the Menu system and scroll through your stored images.

Pressing the Monitor button toggles the display of the exposure compensation (0EV), ISO speed (125), flash mode (Forced Off), white balance (AWB), shutter speed (640), aperture (F5.6) and the histogram graph. Press it again to clear all of the overlay information for slideshow playback on the TV screen.

While viewing a picture fullscreen you can toggle the telephoto zoom control and zoom-in to the image in multiple steps up to 5x. Once magnified you can scroll around inside of the image using the onscreen 4-way selector.

Press the telephoto wide angle button to enter index mode, six or twelve thumbnail size images are displayed per page. This allows you to quickly search through you pictures.

Still image playback mode options:

    Slide Show - Start slideshow, set interval time between images

    Paint - Use the stylus to draw on images

    Volume - Adjust the camera sound volume

    Folder - Change the current image folder

    Protect - Protect/unprotect images from accidental erasure

    DPOF - Attach DPOF printing information to image(s)

    Print - PictBridge USB direct printing (see next frame)

    Resize - Resize image to 5M, 3M, 1M or VGA resolution

    Rotate - Rotate portrait mode images for TV display

    Divide - Divide MPEG movie clips

    Setup - Enter the Setup menu

The Resize option lets you create a smaller image when needed. A 7-megapixel image can be down-sized to 5M, 3M, 2M or VGA size.

The Rotate option lets you rotate portrait mode images for correct playback on the LCD or TV screen.

Movies are played back full-screen, audio is replayed through the speaker.

Once playing, you can stop, rewind or fast-forward the video.

The Divide option allows you to edit the length of movie clips.

SETUP menu:

    AF Mode - Single, Monitor (continuous AF when LCD is on)

    Digital Zoom - Enable or disable the Smart or Precision digital zoom

    Red Eye Reduction - Enable/disable the flash Red-Eye mode

    AF Illuminator - Autofocus assist lamp: Auto or Off

    Auto Review - On, Off (auto review after capture)

    Steady Shot - Image stabilization: Shooting or Continuous

    Format - Format the Memory Stick

    CreateREC.Folder - Create a new folder for storing images

    ChangeREC.Folder - Select a different folder

    Copy - Copy pictures to/from internal memory and MS Duo card

    Download Music - Load music files for slideshows

    Format Music - Format the memory area used by music files

    LCD Backlight - Normal, Bright

    Beep - Camera "beep" sounds: Shutter, On, Off

    Language - Menu language

    Initialize - Reset all settings to default

    File Number - SERIES (sequential auto number images) or RESET

    USB Connect - PictBridge, PTP, Mass Storage, Auto

    Video Out - NTSC or PAL signal timing

    Clock Set - Set the internal clock

    Calibration - Calibrate the touchpanel LCD
