A typical playback screen as viewed on the color LCD. Icons shown for battery condition (both graphical and time left in minutes), image size and quality, picture number / total number of pictures. Across the bottom is the folder name, image file number and time and date.

Extended image data can be displayed by pressing the thumbnail button twice (the first push puts it into index mode, see below). The first screen shows the aperture value, shutter speed, exposure value and the ISO equivalent.

The second screen of image data is displayed by pressing down on the 4-way controller. Now the metering mode, flash mode and white balance setting can be viewed.

Playback index mode, nine thumbnail size images are displayed per page. You can quickly search through the stored images and display one fullscreen.

While viewing a picture fullscreen you can toggle the telephoto zoom control and zoom-in to the image in multiple steps up to 5x. Once magnified you can scroll around inside of the image using the 4-way selector.

Still image playback mode options:

    DELETE - Erase images from Memory Stick

    PROTECT - Protect/unprotect images from accidental erasure

    PRINT - Attach DPOF printing information to image(s)

    SLIDE - Start slideshow, set interval time between images

    COPY - Copy images between Memory Sticks

    RESIZE - Resize image to 1600x1200, 1280x960, 640x480

    ROTATE - Rotate portrait mode images for TV display

    DIVIDE - Divide MPEG movie clips

Full screen 320x240HQX movie playback. Normal 320x240 and 160x120 movie clips play back in a smaller window.

  • EXPANDED FOCUS   Enable/disable 2x enlarged view during manual focusing
  • MOVING IMAGE  MPEG movie or Clip Motion
  • DATE/TIME  Stamp image with Date, Day & Time or None
  • DIGITAL ZOOM   On or Off
  • BRACKET STEP   Auto Exposure Bracketing step +/- 0.3, 0.7 or 1.0EV
  • RED EYE REDUCTION   Enable or disable this flash mode
  • HOLOGRAM AF   Auto or force Off the hologram autofocus mode

  • FORMAT   Format the Memory Stick
  • FILE NUMBER  Series (sequentially number pictures) or Reset
  • CONVERSION LENS  Off or On if using an add-on lens
  • LANGUAGE   Menu language, English or Japanese
  • CLOCK SET   Set the time and date
