Record Screens & Menus

As an entry-level "dSLR-style" camera, the a3000 features all of the ease of a compact point-n-shoot with the versatility of more complex camera. Sony has given the a3000 its intelligent auto shooting mode, so that you can just point-n-shoot without worrying about the camera settings. This setting will take care of everything for you, including choosing a scene mode for your current situation.

Superior Auto takes the iAuto function one step further. This mode will use the camera's multi-shot capabilities to produce the best images in the most difficult situations.

Program mode is still an automatic shooting mode, but the camera gives some of the control to the photographer. Here you get control over most of the shooting settings, allowing you some creativity, while the camera still handles the shutter speed and aperture for you based on your settings.

a3000 Scene Modes: Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Sports Action, Sunset, Night Portrait, Night Scene, Hand-held Twilight, Anti Motion Blur.

Sony's Sweep Panorama shooting mode allows you to capture panoramic scenes by just pressing the shutter and panning the camera. There is no work to be done later on a computer, the camera does all of the work for you.

The 4-way controller allows you to navigate the menu systems and make your selections. It also acts as a shortcut to the ISO, exposure compensation, burst modes and also changes the amount of information that is shown on the LCD screen.
