Record / Playback / Set-up Modes & Menu Options

The Main Record Program Screen is above. The SiPix SP-2300 is an automatic "point-n-shoot" type camera, the exposure is handled by a Programmed AE system and does not display the Shutter Speed and Aperture that it set. The triple stars indicate the image size and quality, Three Stars is the best for printing, Two Stars is the best for viewing and One Star is e-mail quality. Other icons indicate Exposure compensation, flash mode, macro mode, self timer, digital zoom mode, battery condition, present date / time and the approximate number of pictures remaining.

Record mode menu:

    White Balance - Auto, Sun, Cloud, Tungsten Light Bulb, or Fluorescent
    Continuous Shot - single or continuous mode
    Exposure Compensation - Adjust exposure up to 2 stops by 1/2 stop increments
    Effect - Color or B/W
    Sharpness - Normal, Softer, or Sharper

Playback Modes & Menu Options

Play mode screen: When you rotate the mode control switch on top of the camera to the Play position, the last image captured is displayed with overlay data for image number.

The Play mode menu:

    Lock - prevents deletion of an image
    Unlock - allows deletion of a previously locked image
    Erase - THIS image or ALL images
    Slideshow - Puts each image full frame on screen for a 3 or 10 seconds
    Format - YES / NO to reformatting the memory card and thereby deleting all images.

The playback image can be enlarged 2x by pressing the UP arrow on the 4-way navigation control. Once an image is enlarged you can scroll around inside of it using the four way navigation control. To exit to normal view press the center of the Nav. control which is the OK button.

Thumbnail: Pressing checkerboard (thumbnail) icon takes you from full screen to index mode which displays up to nine images at once with the frame number in the corner.

Access the Set-up Menu by rotating the mode dial on top of the camera to SET:
    Language - Choose from one of 9 Languages
    Beep - On / Off
    Auto Off - Choose from 5, 10, 15 Minute or Disable
    Self Timer - Allows setting the Self Timer to 5, 10, 15
    Date / Time - Set Date and Time
    Time Stamp - records present yy / mm / dd on right lower corner of image
    Defaults(2nd page not displayed) - Resets all settings to factory defaults
