When you select PLAY mode the last picture taken is displayed. You can move backward or forward through the
images using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons, press up to delete an image. The overlay information is displayed
briefly when a new image is selected.
Press the MENU button for 2 seconds to display the extended exposure information.
You can quickly search through stored images using the Index playback function which is actuated by pressing
the WIDE zoom control. Nine thumbnail size images will be displayed and you can select one using the 4-way
controller's buttons and then pressing the SET button or the Telephoto zoom control. Press the WIDE zoom
control again and it will display the image folder.
The image can be magnified up to 5100% in many steps by pressing the telephoto zoom control. Once the image is enlarged you can move
around (Pan) inside of it. You can also save a magnified/cropped image at a lower resolution setting by pressing the shutter release. To
quickly return to viewing the image at the normal aspect (100%) press the set button.
Playback MENU:
Slide show - Offers a variety of options for controlling and running a slide show
Play Volume - Adjusts the volume of audio that is played through the camera's built in speaker
Protect - Allows you to lock an image so it can not be deleted
Delete - Allows you to delete images off of the memory card
DPOF - Print instructions
Rotate - Rotate portrait mode images 90° CW or CCW
Resize - Resize large images down to 2M or 0.3M
Extract Still - Extract a still frame from a video clip
Edit Video - Edit length, join 2 or more clips, extract still frame
Select Folder - Allows you to create and select a folder on the memory card
Resize large images down to smaller images for email, web use or just to save space
on your SD card.
The rotate feature allows you to change the orientation of the photo by 90° left or right inside the camera.
Movie clips can be played in the camera or viewed on a TV set when the camera is placed in the included camera dock and you use the A-V
or S-Video cable. If you have a HDTV, you can playback your HD movies in full screen 16:9 resolution using the an optional HDMI or the
included Composite AV cable! The camera gives you full VCR-like controls using the joystick.
You can edit movies by joining two or more clips into a single movie, you can delete
portions of movies or you can extract a single frame and save it as a still image. You
can also enable the Smooth Playback option to improve the output to the TV screen.
