Record Screens & Menus
By Matt Metzker
Here you can
see the SMART shooting
mode, which is fully automatic, perfect for
those who want to just point-n-shoot. There is limited access to camera
settings, in fact, you can only change the photo size, flash mode, or
enable the self-timer. This is an intelligent exposure program that
chooses the correct exposure settings by analyzing the subject being
framed, and then selects the proper Scene mode settings to use. This
ensures you get optimal results for various types of shooting.
When you half press the shutter release,
the AF marks will turn green if focus is achieved or
red if it fails. Once exposure and focus are locked, the camera will
display the Scene setting chosen (Macro) and the aperture (F4.7) selected. The
icons on the screen that are boxed in can be touched to toggle their
settings. You can also see icons that indicate we are using 14M quality,
OIS is on, the flash is set to Smart Auto, at the top you can see the
battery level indicator, and that we have room on our MicroSD card for 53 photos.

Movie mode records
1280x720HQ and 1280x720(720p), 640x480
(VGA) or 320x240 (QVGA) motion video with audio at 30 or 15fps. The recorded video is saved as an H.264 (MPEG-4.AVC) file. The length of these movies is
limited to a maximum of 20 minutes. The optical zoom can be used during recording, however you will pick up the sound of the lens moving. There is an option that eliminates the sound of the lens moving, but this is done by stopping all voice recording while the zoom is adjusting then resuming once the lens stops moving; so you will have periods of time where there will be no audio at all.
