Pressing the Play/Review button brings up
the last image/video captured or viewed in full screen mode with
minimal data overlaid. Using the "left" and "right" icons on the screen
will scroll through your stored images, or you can tip the camera left
or right. To control the
amount of overlay information, you simply press monitor icon at the
bottom left of the frame to show Basic or Full info as well as to Hide
all.

The Motion menu is also available in playback mode, and will start a
slide show, protect and image from deletion, or mark a photo as a
favorite.

Here you can see the Edit menu that offers
these options: Resize, Rotate, Photo Style Selector, Image adjust,
Special Effect, and Face Effect.

Pressing the wide angle zoom control
brings up the thumbnail index mode, here you can search through the stored images, and select one for full screen
playback. We found that the index was slow and took longer than average time to load up. You can also filter images by date, type, color, week,
favorite, or even faces, and use the bar along the bottom to search
through them. Pressing the Icon that is directly above the bar (labeled
Date in the screens above) allows you to choose the filter type.

While an image is displayed full screen
you can magnify it by pressing the telephoto zoom
control. Once magnified you can scroll around inside of it by touching
the
4-way arrows on the LCD. You
can enlarge up to 13.5x in several steps, depending on the image size
mode being used. While magnified, a small box is
displayed in the upper right of the LCD, indicating the area of the
image that is enlarged. On the top left you can see controls to Delete
or Trim a photo.

Movie clips are played back full screen.
You have options to rewind, pause, stop or fast-forward a movie. Once
you pause a movie, you can Capture a still frame from the video. The
still frame will be saved at the same
resolution as the video (1280x720, 640x480 or 320x240).

Here you can see the face list
option, where the camera displays the faces that have been captured
using the Face Recognition system. You can also prioritize faces when
you use the "My Star" option in record mode. This allows you to capture
your "stars" face from different angles, and then you can enter the menu
above to set priority to their faces. This will cause the camera to set
exposure and focus priority to your "star's" face with in the frame,
even if they are not the center or "main" subject.
The above
screens show the options available when you select the Photo Style Selector option from the edit menu. You can use a filter to change the look of a picture already taken.
There are also a series of Smart Filters that can change the look of your pictures. These filters can be applied to images already taken, or you can set the filter to effect a picture you are about to take. Visitors of Steves can visit the stores below for real-time pricing and availability. You can also find hot, soon to expire online offers on a variety of cameras and accessories at our very own Camera Deals page.
