samsung_sl420_io.jpgThe combination I/O port is located on the right hand side of the camera above the wrist strap mount. The miniature connector is for the USB 2.0 (full-speed) data cable, Audio/Video cable for connection to a TV set, and is used for charging the battery. This means you can plug the camera into any powered USB port on your PC/Mac to charge the camera. Samsung also includes an AC adapter that allows you to plug the camera into an AC outlet for charging.

samsung_sl420_sd.jpgThe SL 420 stores images, movies and sound clips on either the ~9MB of internal memory or MMC cards up to 2GB, SD cards up to 4GB, and SDHC cards up to 8GB.

The SL 420 is powered by a SLB-10A 3.7V 1050mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery pack. This Li-ion battery pack is charged while inside the camera, and Samsung has taken a creative approach to the AC charger. The USB cable is also the charger cable - you just plug it into the small AC adapter included in the box or plug it into your PC to transfer your photos and recharge at the same time (note: charging from the PC takes about twice as long as using the AC adapter).
