Samsung PL120 Preview

Designed as the bargain model in their compact series of DualView cameras, Samsung has announced an updated version of the ST100, the PL120, which features 14.2-megapixels.  DualView cameras offer LCD screens on both the front and back of the camera to assist with taking self-portraits as well as couple and group shots with your friends and family. The PL120 boasts a 1.5-inch front display as well as a 2.7-inch rear screen. It comes standard with Easy Self Shot, a feature that only activates the front screen in order to assure added privacy. The PL120 includes built-in DIS (Digital Image Stabilization) for its 5X optical zoom lens (35mm film equivalent of 26-130mm).

The Samsung's PL120 also records high definition (720p) video at 30 frames per second with audio. Other Samsung model wide features include both Smart 2.0 video filters (soft-focus, cinema, fish-eye, miniature, etc.) and Smart Auto modes (16 for still images and 4 for video) to help customize the look of your photos and videos.

The Samsung PL120 will have a MSRP of under $150, and should be in stores this March (2011).
