Record Screens & Menus

Shooting with the NX300's auto mode allows you to point-n-shoot just like with a compact digicam. This mode allows the camera to do all of the work by choosing all of your shooting settings for you, including selecting the appropriate scene mode for your current shooting situation. This helps those who are less experienced produce the best images possible, even in difficult situations.

Program mode is another automatic shooting mode that gives the user a little more control. The camera will not choose a scene mode and it will allow the user to choose some of the settings for the exposure. The shutter speed and aperture will still be controlled by the camera.

Pressing up on the 4-way controller allows you to change the amount of information. Shown above, you can see the varying amounts and types of information including an electronic level and histogram.

Manual shooting mode gives you complete control over the camera. This allows for complete control, including manual focus if you choose. If not, you can use the focus control on the lens to control other features on the camera.

Smart mode takes the most difficult shooting situations and creates special modes for them so you can increase your creativity and always get the shot that you are hoping for. Smart Modes: Beauty Face, Best Face, Landscape, Macro, Action Freeze, Rich Tones, Panorama, Waterfall, Silhouette, Sunset, Night, Fireworks, Light Trace and Creative Shot.

With the camera in the WiFi mode, it has the ability to transfer images instantly to a number of other WiFi enabled devices. If there is an internet connection available, the camera can also instantly email or upload images to a cloud drive or social media site. Tablets and smartphones can also download an app that allows you to see and operate the camera via the WiFi connection like a remote control.

Pressing the Fn button on the back of the camera or at the bottom of the screen brings you to this settings shortcut screen. Here you have access to several of the more common shooting settings including the ISO and WB. This saves you time from flipping through the entire camera menu to make these changes.
