Record Modes & Screens
AUTO record mode screen display. The red camera icon indicates Auto mode, battery
level is full, the zoom is at full wide angle, the flash is on Auto, there's space on our
memory card for another 126 pictures at 2048x1536 SuperFine quality, the big white brackets
in the center is the auto focus area, lower left is icon for normal matrix metering.
When the shutter release is half-pressed the auto focus is activated, if successful, the
center AF area marks turn green,
Record menu options:
SIZE - 2048x1536, 2048x1360 (3:2 aspect ratio), 1600x1200, 1024x768 or 640x480 QUALITY - Super Fine, Fine, Normal METERING - Multi or Spot EFFECT - Normal, B&W, Sunset, Sepia, RGB SHARP - Soft, Normal, Vivid SETUP - Enter Setup menu (see below) MYCAM - Enter MyCamera setup menu (see below)
The Manual record mode is the same as Auto mode but any settings made will be
remembered when the power is turned off.
In Auto or Manual mode, press the "+/-" button to display this overlay menu to change the
white balance, ISO speed or exposure compensation.
When shooting in Night mode, the
user can select both an aperture setting (fully open or closed only) and a shutter speed from
1/8 to 16 seconds.
Movie mode options:
QUALITY - High 20fps or Low 15fps EFFECT - Normal, B&W, Sunset, Sepia, RGB SETUP - Enter Setup menu (see below)
The U-CA3 can also Record Audio like a voice recorder. Up to one hour of
voice or sound audio only can be recorded and played back in the camera.
