Typical record mode screen display. This is an automatic camera with a Program AE exposure system. Onscreen icons for battery level, record mode, zoom position, # of pictures remaining, image size, image quality, memory card, flash mode, time and date.

    Image Size - 1600x1200 or 800x600
    Quality - SuperFine, Fine or Normal
    Exposure - Override the metering +/-2.0EV
    White Balance - Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Sunset, Fluorescent or Tungsten
    Quick View - Review after capture; On or Off
    LCD Brightness - Adjust LCD backlight

Movie mode records 288 x 208 motion video at 15fps. Movie clips are saved as Windows AVI format video files. The optical zoom cannot be used during movie recording. The length of these movies can be three minutes or less.





Playback Modes & Screens

Turning the mode dial to Play brings up the last image captured in full screen mode with the minimal data overlayed. Pressing the 4-way "Right" or "Left" lets you move through the stored images.

Pressing the LCD button displays the extended exposure information. Information includes image size, aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed and date captured.

Pressing the Zoom-Wide button brings up the thumbnail index mode, here you can quickly search through the stored images and select one for full screen playback.

While an image is displayed full screen you can magnify it 2X by pressing the Zoom Telephoto button. Once magnified you can scroll around inside of it using the 4-way selector.

Movie clips playback fullscreen, the 4-way selector acts as the start, stop and pause control.

Play mode menu, you can start a slideshow with a specified delay time, protect/unprotect an image, delete All images or adjust the LCD brightness. Page Two lets you copy from internal memory to memory card and set the DPOF printing options.

The Setup menu lets you enable or disable the camera beep sounds, format the memory card or internal memory, set the power off time delay, reset to default settings. Page two lets you enable or disable the Imprint option to print the date or date & time on the image. Set the time and date and select the format of the date display. Select the video out format (NTSC or PAL). Page three lets you select the menu language.
