Playback Screens & Menus

Pressing the Playback button brings up the last image that you have captured. Pressing the Display button allows you to change the amount of information that is shown on the screen. You have the choice between no information, standard information, standard information with overexposure warning and a full detailed list with a histogram.

There are 3 available index modes that you can access by pressing the wide zoom lever. First you will see a set of 20 thumbnails, pressing it again will give you 81 thumbs and pressing it a third time will show your thumbs based on the date that they were taken.

Pressing the Telephoto end of the zoom lever allows you to zoom in on an image. The camera will zoom up to 16x in multiple levels. You can then look through the images with the 8-way controller.

Playback Menu:
  • Flag Function Setting - Allows you to flag an image for easier viewing later
  • Flag Function Display - Displays all flagged images

Resize allows you to make another copy of an image on your memory card with a different resolution. This is a great feature if you plan to upload your images to a web site or blog or if you plan to email them to friends or family. Doing this on the camera saves you a lot of time on the computer. It is also a way to save some space in a bind.

Trim allows you to edit or "crop" your images on the camera. This is perfect for fixing the composition of your images, again without putting in extra time at the computer.

To view a movie on the camera, you need to press the ADJ. button. You can start and stop the videos but there are no other controls for it than that, except for the volume.
