Polaroid PDC2150

The PDC 2150 is a simple and easy to use point-n-shoot type camera. Here's the record mode screen with icons for Auto flash, Image size is "L"arge which is 1600 x 1200, "F"ine quality, space remaining for 116 pictures, the icon in the upper right tells you that there is an optional SD or MMC memory card in the camera. The lower left is the battery condition icon.

After half-pressing the shutter release the auto focus is locked (green cross hairs in the center) and the aperture and shutter speed is displayed on the bottom.

When you half-press the shutter release all the icons turn green to tell you that the camera is ready to capture. There is no auto focus delay when you half-press nor is there a delay when you just push the button all the way. This is a focus-free camera.

Macro focus mode covers from 8 inches to 12 inches, the color LCD is turned on automatically to make framing the picture more accurate.

The PDC 2150 does not have an optical zoom but it does have a 2X digital zoom. Any photos captured with digital zoom are saved as 800 x 600 size images only.

    EXIT - Leave the menu
    WHITE BALANCE - Auto, Daylight, Shade, Incandescent or Fluorescent
    EXPOSURE - Override metering +/- 2.0EV in 0.3EV steps
    INFO. DISPLAY - Display info over live image on color LCD
    SELF TIMER - Off, 2 sec., 10 sec.
    DRIVE MODE - Single, Continuous
    SIZE - 1600 x 1200, 800 x 600
    QUALITY - Fine or Normal
    FORMAT - Format the memory card
    SETUP - Enter SETUP menu

      CONTINUOUS SHOT NO. - Number of shots in Continuous mode: 2, 3, 4 or 5
      SHOT REVIEW - Auto-Review after capture, On or Off
      SETUP (BASIC) - Enter the basic SETUP menu

        USB MODE - Normal, PC Camera
        BEEP - Button beeps; On or Off
        DATE & TIME - Set time & date
        VIDEO OUT - NTSC or PAL
        LANGUAGE - English or Japanese

Setting the White Balance gives you an onscreen live preview to show you the effect of the different color temperatures.

Setting the Exposure Value allows you to override the metering system +/- 2.0EV in 0.3EV steps. You can see the changes on the preview screen of the color LCD.
