The flash works in Forced on and off, Auto, Red-Eye and Soft Effective modes. It has a maximum range of up to 17' (W), 9.2' (T) at ISO auto.
Framing and viewing your images is accomplished on the 2.7-inch, 230,000 dot LCD screen.
Controls on the back: At the very top are the zoom controls, followed by the Face Recognition button and Playback button. The 4-way controller lets you navigate menus and select images during playback. In record you press 'Up' to enable self-timer mode, press 'Left' to change flash mode, press 'Right' to change focus mode and press 'Down' to change recording Mode. The MENU button calls up and dismisses the menus. The GREEN button quickly puts the camera into the 'Green' or simple (point-n-shoot) mode, and during in playback it functions as the Delete button.
On the right side is the PC/AV port, which handles both the USB 2.0 (High-speed) connection for downloading images and movies to your PC, and the Audio/Video output for TV display.
If the 33 images that the internal memory can hold is not enough, the camera also accepts SD and SDHC cards with capacities up to 32GB. The RZ10 is shown here with an ADATA 16GB class 6 SDHC card.

Powering the RZ10 is a 925mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery with enough power to provide up to 260 images on a single charge. The included quick charger has a detachable cord for mobility.
