In addition to the announcements in their SLR line, Pentax also released details about the Optio RS1000 compact digital camera. Ideal for creative photographers, you have the ability to customize the faceplate of the RS1000 with the stock designs or creating an entirely new design with Pentax's creation tools. The camera shoots pictures with a 14-megapixel sensor and has a 4x optical zoom lens. It also shoots 720p HD video and has several features like face detection, automatic picture mode and auto tracking. There's a 3-inch LCD on the back of the camera and designs for the front of the camera can be switched out via the faceplate.
We are looking forward to testing this unit in the weeks to come, so stay tuned as we update this page once we get our hands on a full production unit.
