Pentax Optio P70 Review

The Optio P70 features a Pentax 4.9-19.6mm, 4x optical zoom lens with an 35mm equivalent focal length of 27.5-110mm, the aperture range is F2.6-5.8. The lens is all glass and consists of 7 elements, 6 groups, (3 aspherical elements). When the camera is powered down the lens is retracted inside of the body and a built in cover closes to protect the lens.
The built in speedlight features Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Flash On, Flash Off.
Tele: 1.64 to 6.9 ft.
On the top is the Power button and Shutter Release with zoom control.
On the back is a large 2.7 inch LCD monitor with approximately 230,000 pixels.
On the bottom is the PC/AV port, which handles both the USB 2.0 (High-speed) connection for downloading images and movies to your PC, and the Audio/Video output for TV display.
The Optio E70 is compatible with SD/SDHC cards via the slot on the right side .Seen here with the OCZ Class6 4GB SDHC card shown here. The amount of internal memory has not been listed by Pentax.

The Optio M50's D-LI88 3.7v 740mAh Li-Ion battery pack provides exceptional battery life at approximately 200 images or 220 minutes of continuous playback time (using CIPA standards for testing.) This battery pack is charged in the D-BC88 AC quick charger, which requires the use of the included AC cord.
