Playback Screens & Menus

Switching the camera into playback mode shows you the last image that was captured. With the DISP. button you can change the amount of information shown on the LCD. With the camera's built-in GPS, the location of your images can also be shown.

Index mode makes searching through your images very easy. Pressing the zoom control to the wide end, allows you to see thumbnails of your images in sets of 12 and 30. There is also a calendar view that allows you to select your images by the date they were taken.

Pressing the zoom control to the Telephoto end allows you to zoom in on an image up to 16x. Once you have zoomed in, you can scroll through the image by either using the 4-way controller or by dragging your finger on the LCD.

Playback Mode Menu:
  • Normal Play - Shows you one image at a time
  • Slide Show - Allows you to play all captured, pictures only, movies only or select a category to play back
  • Filtering Play - Choose what to play back by Picture Type
  • Calendar - Allows you to just play back the images by a selected date

Cropping allows you to "trim" your image to remove anything that you do not want on the edge of your images.

Resize allows you to make a smaller copy of an image that you have already captured. This is a great way to save space on an SD card and a quick and easy way to make smaller copies to upload to the internet or for email.

You can play back your movies on the camera's LCD screen and built-in speaker. Not shown here are the DVR-like controls that give you total control over playback. With the proper cables your movies can also be played on a standard or HDTV.
