Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS25 Preview

The "TS5's Little Brother", the Lumix DMC-TS25 is a simple, affordable, lifeproof camera that stands in the shadow of the Lumix DMC-TS5. While not offering near the features of the TS5, the T25 holds its own with rugged features many are sure to love; along with a price tag that is likely to be a lot more friendly on the wallet.

Its lifeproof specs include being Waterproof down to 23 feet, Shockproof from a 5 foot drop, Freezeproof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit, and Dustproof. It also offers 16-megapixels of resolution, a 4x optical zoom lens with MEGA O.I.S. stabilization, 720p HD video capture, and a 2.7-inch LCD.

If you're on a tighter budget, the TS25 might be worth a look. If you want more advanced technologies, like Wi-Fi and the ability to control the camera from your smart phone or tablet; check out the TS25's Big Brother; the TS5.
