Record Screens & Menus

Similar to the info screen you will find on a dSLR or ILC, the LCD on the back of the FZ1000 can be solely to show you the camera's shooting information while you use the EVF to compose your images. This gives you the true dSLR feel with a point-n-shoot camera. The Q.Menu button allows you to select and change any of these settings from this screen.

iAuto is the simplest of the shooting modes, allowing you to just point and shoot. The camera takes care of all of the shooting settings for you, including choosing the best scene mode for your current situation. Face detection and all of the other features also work in this mode. The DISP. button on the back of the camera allows you to change the amount of shooting information that is shown on the LCD screen.

Program mode is another automatic shooting mode that gives some of the control to the user. The camera takes care of the shutter and aperture settings, but the rest of the settings can be set, adding to the amount of control and creativity in the images.

Manual mode gives full control over everything to the user. Even the focus can be controlled. This lets anyone have fun shooting, even for the most sophisticated shots in the most difficult situations.

Panasonic has loaded the FZ1000 with preset scene shooting modes for specific shooting situations. Whether they are common or difficult situations, these scene modes are your best chance if you are unsure of how to shoot them manually.

Along with the scene modes, Panasonic has included several art filters as well. These shooting modes give you creative styles that normally would require a computer, editing software and a little know-how to create.

Shooting with the LCD screen and pressing the Q. Menu button allows you to choose and change many of the camera's shooting settings quickly. This saves you a lot of time from browsing through the camera's shooting menu when you should be shooting.

The 4-way controller also features shortcuts to some of the more popular shooting settings, saving you some time. The ISO, WB, Macro AF and AF area settings can be adjusted with just one touch of the 4-way controller. Inside the 4-way controller is the Menu/Set button. It allows you to access the camera menus and make your selections.
