The FZ100 features an iAuto (intelligent auto) shooting mode, which allows anyone to pick up the camera and start shooting. This mode will pick the best scene mode and camera settings for you based on your current shooting situation. Pressing the display button allows you to change the amount of shooting information that is shown on the screen. You have the option of no information, a 9-square grid or a full list of the shooting information. Since this camera does not have a separate video shooting mode, you have the choice of either still or movie information that can be shown.





panasonic_fz100_rec_program.JPGProgram mode is another automatic shooting mode, but it gives the user a little more control over it's settings. While the camera chooses the exposure settings, you are free to control the ISO, metering, White Balance etc.





panasonic_fz100_rec_manual.JPGFor those that have a little more photography experience, the FZ100 has shooting modes that give you more control over the camera as well. To go along with a full list of scene modes that are available on the Mode Dial, there are also Aperture and Shutter priority modes and Manual mode for total control (shown above).

On the dial are My Color, Portrait, Scenery, Sports, Close-Up, Night Portrait.
SCN Mode gives you Panorama Assist, Party, Candle Light, Baby 1-2, Pet, Sunset, High Sensitivity, Flash Burst, Panning, Starry Sky, Fireworks, Beach, Snow, Aerial Photo, Photo Frame and High Speed Movie.






panasonic_fz100_rec_4way_anim.gifThe camera's 4-way controller allows you to navigate the menus and look through your captured images. It also provides shortcuts to the exposure compensation, ISO, Self-Timer and the Fn button allows you to choose the last setting for yourself.





panasonic_fz100_rec_burst_anim.gifOn top of the camera you will find a button to control the exciting burst feature. The camera has the ability capture images at up to 60fps or up to 11fps at the full 14-Megapixel resolution.
