Record Screens & Menus
iAuto or "Intelligent Auto" is the basic point and shoot mode that allows anyone
to pick up the camera and start shooting. The camera makes all of the
adjustments, including ISO, white balance and will even automatically
put the camera into the correct scene mode or macro mode if needed.
This mode also automatically enables Dual Image Stabilization and face
detection, making sure you have clear photos every time.
When
you half-press the shutter release it starts the autofocus process
and if it locks you'll see the AF targets turn green. If focus fails,
they will turn red and flash on the screen (not shown.) The 'red
lightning bolt' icon indicates the flash is charged and ready to fire.
The camera also lets you know what mode iAuto has chosen, like Macro shown
above.
"Program"
mode gives you the most control over the camera. Here you will
have access to the White Balance, ISO, Metering, Exposure Compensation and Drive Mode as well as other camera functions.
