Topping out Olympus's SP line is the new SP-800UZ, featuring an unbelievable 30x optical zoom lens. This lens has a 35mm equivalent range of 28-840mm, giving you a great wide end along with an outrageous telephoto end without having to change lenses or adding adapters. With a maximum aperture of F2.8 on the wide end, it also handles low-light situations very well. To help with this large zoom, Olympus has included a dual image stabilization system that combines Sensor-Shift optical stabilization with and digital image stabilization to reduce camera shake and allow you to capture a clear, crisp image.
Also featured on the SP-800UZ is a 14-Megapixel imaging sensor, 3-inch LCD screen, 720p HD video capture, Intelligent auto, AF tracking and shadow adjustment, just to name a few. As we have started to see on other top Olympus models, they have included 2GB of internal memory instead of a measly 32 to 48MB found on other digicams (which can only hold a couple images). This allows you to have a descent backup in case you run out of room on your memory cards, or it can be a great place to store your favorite shots.
