the record screen you have the option to change the amount of
information that is shown on the screen. Besides the standard
information, which includes the quick menu, number of shots and movie
length, you can also turn all of the information off or add more
details including a histogram.
Half pressing the shutter release allows the camera to lock its focus and exposure settings. The green rectangle shows the focus point of the camera, and at the bottom of the screen you can see the exposure information (1/8, F4.3).
In order to make this camera as easy to use as possible, Olympus
has added an in-camera manual so you can look up a function and learn
about the camera at any time, the only thing you have to do is press
the "?" button on the back.
By combining the menu and quick menu options into a single button,
you won't have to remember which button works which menu. If the
setting you are looking for is not in the quick menu, you will have to
select the "setup" option at the bottom to enter the main menu.
When you select the "SCeNe" mode, you list of scene modes will appear
directly beneath it and can be selected the same way. The SCeNe modes
are: Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene, Night + Portrait, Sport, Indoor, Candle, Self Portrait, Sunset, Fireworks, Cuisine, Documents, Beach & Snow, Pet.
