The Olympus SP-600 UZ is a very compact camera for its class. Featuring a 15x optical zoom lens, 12-Megapixel imaging sensor and 720p HD video capture, it provides all of the great features of a much more expensive camera in an affordable package. With a very simple design and easy to use menus and features, anyone in the family can pick up this camera and start shooting.
The 15x optical zoom lens has a 35mm equivalent range of 28-420mm, giving you a great wide end along with enormous telephoto reach without having to change lenses or add adapters. With a maximum aperture of F3.5 on the wide end, it also handles low-light situations fairly well without using the flash. To help with this large zoom, Olympus has included a dual image stabilization system that combines Sensor-Shift optical stabilization with and digital image stabilization to reduce camera shake and allow you to capture a clear, crisp handheld images
