Intelligent Auto, the same that is found on all compact Olympus cameras, is included on the E-M1, making it an incredibly easy to use camera. The camera will take care of all of the shooting settings as well as choosing the correct scene mode while in iAuto.

Program shooting mode is another automatic shooting mode that gives the photographer more control over the camera settings. This allows for more creativity and is a great way to learn more about the way the camera works. Pressing the INFO button on the back allows you to change the amount of information that is shown on the LCD screen or EVF. Options like the live histogram or electronic level can be valuable tools that you will not find in the OVF of a dSLR.

olympus_em1_rec_manual.JPG
Manual mode, along with Aperture and Shutter priorities, give the photographer total control over the camera. This allows for the most creativity when shooting. The E-M1 has been designed to provide the highest quality images in all shooting modes.

The LCD on the back of the camera can be set to show more than what the camera is going to capture. A basic list of settings or a control screen similar to most dSLR screens. The touch screen allows for easier selection of settings and fast and easy WiFi control.

The framing shooting mode produces simple and easy two or three image compositions that put together inside the camera. There are several different styles of compositions, all with several options for customization each.

As long as the camera is in one of the manual or program shooting modes, it features automatic HDR capture. With two settings, the camera will capture 4 images and process them inside the camera as soon as you press the shutter.
