Playback Screens & Menus

Please excuse the poor quality of these screen captures. The E-PM2 kit does not include an AV output cable, therefore we had to photograph the display screen.

When you want to see the images you've stored on the memory card, press the Playback button in the upper left area of the back panel. To change the data displayed on the screen, press the Info button on the far right side of the back panel. The first display mode shows the photo's date and time in the lower left corner and the aspect ratio, resolution, and file name in the lower right corner.

Press Info and the image will shrink to fit in the upper left corner. Four histogram charts will appear in the lower left corner (RGB and Light graphs). Along the right side, you'll see detailed data about the image, including the shooting mode, shutter speed, aperture, focus mode, EV, lens focal length, white balance, ISO setting, color balance, resolution, aspect ratio, and file name. The date and time the photo was shot will remain in the lower left corner.

Press the Info button again and all of the data will disappear from the screen.

With an image displayed on the screen, spin the four-way dial to the left, and the E-PM2 will change the display to show a 5x5 grid of thumbnail images. Depress the four-way dial's edges, and you can scroll through the thumbnail images on the screen. Once the desired image is highlighted, press OK to magnify it on the screen.

Continue spinning the four-way dial to the left, and you'll move from the 5x5 grid view to a calendar view.

You'll see a thumbnail image on each date on the calendar during which you've shot a photo. Depress the edges of the four-way button to scroll between the dates. Highlight the date you want and press OK and the thumbnail image will magnify to occupy the entire screen.

From the calendar view, spin the control dial back to the right to return to the 5x5 view and then to the single image view.

If you'd like to magnify a portion of the image, spin the four-way dial to the right when a single image is displayed on the screen. You can magnify the image up to the 14x level. In the lower left corner, you'll see the magnification level. In the lower right corner, you'll see a representation of the overall image in a black outlined box; the small white outlined box shows the portion of the image that's currently displayed on the screen.
