Playback menu options:
The E-500 can display a review image with varying amounts of overlay information on
it. Pressing the INFO button cycles you through the following review modes: image
only, image+info 1 (shown above), image+info 2 (shown below), image+shooting info,
image+histogram, image+hilight and image+shadow.
The Shooting Information display shows the storage card (CF or xD), image quality, AF
frame used, separate color channel histograms, exposure mode, shutter speed,
aperture, exposure and flash compensation, lens focal length, ISO speed, Metering
mode, white balance mode and compensation, and color mode.
The histogram shows graphically the contrast and
dynamic range of the image. This chart shows a scale of 0 - 255 (left to right)
with 0 being black and 255 is white.
Highlight areas will blink to indicate possible over-exposure.
Shadow areas will blink to indicate possible under-exposure.
Index mode displays 4, 9, 16 or 20 thumbnail images per screen or shows a calendar
with a thumbnail of the first image captured each day.
To check for critical focus or color you can magnify the image up to 14x in multiple steps, you can scroll around inside of the enlarged image at any step. |
