The Coolpix S570 is equipped with a 5x wide-angle NIKKOR optical zoom lens (35mm equivalent: 28 - 140mm) that gives you great zoom capabilities and wide panoramic shots.

Focal Ranges:
  •   Normal Mode is 1ft. 6in to infinity
  •   Macro Mode is 1.2in. to infinity



nikon_s570_flash.jpgThe built in flash has five settings: Auto, Auto with Red-Eye, Off, Fill Flash and Slow sync.
  • Wide: 1ft 8in (0.5m) - 18ft (5.5m)
  • Tele: 1ft 8in (0.5m) - 7ft 3in (2.2m)

On the top is the Power button, Shutter Release and the zoom toggle (which is wrapped around the shutter release).

Controls on the back of the S570 are pretty cut and dry. Starting at the top left is the SCENE button which switches between all the shooting modes. The playback button is next and is used to view the stored image on the cameras monitor. In the center is the 4-way controller with the OK button in the center. The 4-way controls manage the flash, exposure compensation, macro mode and timer. On the bottom left is the menu button and next to that is the delete button

The I/O connector is located on the side of the camera and handles not only the USB 2.0 (High-speed) connectivity but the Audio/Video output (NTSC or PAL) as well.

Still images and movie clips can be stored on the cameras 47MB of internal storage or a removable SD/SDHC card.




nikon_s570_battery.jpgPower is supplied by a proprietary EN-EL 10, 3.7v 740mAh Li-ion battery.  Nikon claims that you should be able to get 220 images on a fully charged battery.
