The Nikon Coolpix S5300 was one of five new Coolpix models to take the stage at CES 2014. As the Jan Brady (middle child) of this year's new models, the S5300 has a number of nice features for a sub-$200 camera. The 16-megapixel CMOS sensor is capable of recording Full 1080p HD video, and there's even a Hybrid VR (vibration reduction) system to reduce hand-held camera shake.
The S5300 also features an 8x optical zoom (expandable to 16x with "Dynamic Fine Zoom"), a 3.0-inch LCD display, and Advanced Scene Auto Selector, which will ensure your camera automatically sets itself up properly for many different types of shooting conditions.
Further, the Coolpix S5300 includes Built-in Wi-Fi, which allows the S5300 to connect to compatible smartphones and tablets running the free Wireless Mobile Utility app, and then instantly share photos online, and with family and friends.
