Nikon has announced the "family-friendly' Coolix S32. While not as fully "lifeproof" as its AW-series cameras, the S32 is still capable of diving to depths of 33 feet and falling from heights of up to 5 feet. Which seems great for families with kids who enjoy time outdoors near lakes, oceans, and pools.

The S32 also boats a 13.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, Full HD 1080p video recording, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. All of this is pretty great for a camera that costs less than $130. There are also Motion Detection functions, Scene Modes and Effects to enhance your photos, and the Smart Portrait System to make a portrait photo from any composition. And, keeping with the family-friendly them, there are "unique playback options", including an In-Camera Slide Show. So imagine spending a day with your friends and family, snapping away, and settling in the evenings to relive the memories you've made.
