Nikon Coolpix S31 Preview
Nikon has introduced an extremely affordable "life-proof" rugged point-and-shoot digicam, the Nikon Coolpix S31. While there is no "Freezeproof" rating found on more expensive models, the capable S31 can swim down to 16.4 feet, survive 3.9 foot falls, and will repel dust.
Designed for newer photographers on a budget, the S31 includes a 10.1 megapixel image sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, HD video recording, and an easy-to-use GUI (graphic user interface). Other nice features include a number of in-camera capabilities, like slide shows you can play right from the 2.7-inch LCD display, or image editing and filter effects for stills as well as video.
