Nikon Coolpix P90 Review

Playback Modes & Screens
The Playback screen displays the time and date of capture and the filename. A voice memo can be recorded by depressing the OK button. On the bottom is the image quality/size and the image # / total # of images on the SD card or internal memory. The amount of information can be changed by pressing the DISP. button.
Press the zoom 'W'ide button to enter the Index mode which can show 4, 9 or 16 thumbnail images per page. Pressing it again will take you to the calendar view, allowing you to select your images based on the day they were taken.
Press the zoom 'T'ele button to enlarge the playback image. It can be magnified from 1.2x to 10.0x in multiple steps, once enlarged you can scroll around inside of it using the 4-way controller. At any magnification step you can save the cropped image by pressing the Menu button.
Playback menu has options for Quick retouch, D-Lighting (see below), Print set (DPOF) printing information, slideshow, Delete, Protect, Rotate image, Hide image, Small pic, Copy, and Black border.
Creates a copy with enhanced contrast and richer colors.
Choose the D-Lighting function from the menu to brighten up the background of flash pictures or to brighten darker areas of most images. It's quick and easy!
Small Picture allows you to save a much smaller copy of the original image.
Allows you to change the orientation of the image by 90� at a time.
Movies are played back in full screen mode, playback starts by pressing the 4-way controller's center OK button. During playback, the 4-way controller's left and right buttons are used to select the playback controls displayed at the top of the LCD; pressing the OK button performs the selected action. The bar at the bottom indicates the playback position with the running time in seconds displayed on the right.
