Nikon has announced a number of high power zoom lens Coolpix cameras today. The P530 costs about $50 less than the P600, but includes most of the same features. A 16.1-megapixel BSI CMOS Image Sensor, Lens Shift Vibration Reduction (VR), 1080/60i HD video recording, a 3.0-inch LCD display, full manual controls (P, S, A, M), and an electronic viewfinder.

So, what are you trading for that $50 price reduction? Well, the 42x optical zoom (a 24-1000mm 35mm-equivalent) is less than the P600's 60x zoom. And the P530 does not have built-in Wi-Fi. However, this camera is Wi-Fi capable with the addition of the optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter. From there, it's easy to send images to iOS and Android devices and then your favorite social networking sites.
