Minolta DiMAGE G400 Review

Playback Screens & Menus
|
(Excuse the poor quality of these screens but the DiMAGE G400 does not have a
Video Out feature so these had to be photographed off of the color LCD.)
A typical playback screen display. Across the top is the folder and file numbers. Time
and date of capture. On the bottom is the battery condition, image # / total # of images,
SD indicates a Secure Digital type memory card, this will change to
"MS" to indicate Memory Stick, 4M size, and Fine quality.
Pressing the 4-way selector up or down will display the extended image info - FILE
SIZE 1591 KB, SHUTTer SPEED 1/60, F NUMBER (aperture) F3.4, FLASH AUTO ON.
While viewing an image fullscreen you can press the TELE zoom button and begin
enlarging the image in steps all the way up 12x. This is good for checking for
critical, focus, color or composition. Use the 4-way selector to move around inside
of the image and the WIDE zoom button to step back out to the fullscreen image again.
Pressing the WIDE button when in playback displays nine thumbnail images. From here you
can search through the stored images and select one for fullscreen playback or
deletion.
Movie clips can be played back on the camera's LCD in fullscreen mode with the
audio portion heard through the builtin speaker.
