The DiMAGE E323 is an automatic
"point-n-shoot" type camera, the exposure is handled by a Programmed AE system.
Icons indicate flash mode, focus mode, drive mode, self-timer, white balance,
exposure compensation and the
approx. number of pictures remaining.
Screen display after half-pressing shutter button.
The white brackets in the center indicate where the autofocus zone is located.
The exposure modes (Single, Continuous, Movie) are selected from the menu screen.
Pressing the MENU button brings up this menu system.
Resolution - 2048x1536, 2880x2160, 1600x1200 or 640x480 Compression - Fine or Normal Self-timer - 2 or 10 seconds White Balance - Auto, Sunny, Cloudy, Fluorescent, or Incandescent Exposure - +/- 1.8EV
The DiMAGE E323 has a very respectable macro (close-up) focusing
capability, the focusing range is
from 3.9 inches to infinity in all focal lengths.
In Movie mode you can record full motion video in 320 x 240 or
160 x 120 resolution at 15fps without audio. The length of these movies
are limited only by the amount of memory on the card being used.
