The AUTO screen display. This is the "point-n-shoot" mode where the camera
is fully automatic. The overlay information shows flash set to auto, single shot mode,
2272 x 1704 / Fine image size, 106 shots remaining, CAF - continuous auto focus,
wide area AF and the real time histogram is enabled.
The Continuous record position lets you select either 3.3fps high-speed continuous or
the 2.0fps high-speed continuous with auto focus mode.
Switching the mode dial to Scene allows you to chose from one of the four pre-programmed
exposure modes by pressing the Menu button: Spots Action (fast shutter/continuous AF),
Portrait (shallow depth of field), Night View (slow shutter speed), Night Portrait (slow
shutter speed/red-eye reduction flash).
The EXT. (not sure what it stands for, wasn't specified even in the user manual?)
recording mode allows the user to set or change every available camera and
exposure parameter. See the next frame for menu options.

The Macro (close-up) focusing mode covers in wide-angle from 4"
- 23" (0.1 m - 0.6 m), in telephoto from 35" - 79" (0.9 m - 2.0 m).
Motion video with (or without) audio is captured at 30 or 15fps in VGA or QVGA
resolution. The length of recording is limited only by available space on the SD card.
The 30fps mode is only guaranteed when using fast SD media cards.
