Pressing the
Play button brings up the last image stored full screen on the LCD. The image size and
quality is in the upper right corner, down in the lower left are the date and time
of the exposure, and in the lower right is the folder/file number, and the frame number
and total number of images stored on the CF memory card. Pressing the Display button
display's the image only, without information.
The image can be rotated in steps of 90-degrees by repeatedly depressing the "down" button of the 4-way
controller.
While viewing a picture full screen you can press the "up" button on the 4-way
controller to see all the exposure details.
The current image is displayed with a histogram to show
the dynamic range, image size/quality, shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation,
flash exposure compensation, exposure mode, metering mode, white balance mode,
ISO, folder name/file number, frame number/total number of images,
and date of exposure. Areas of the image that are close to luminance levels of 0 and 255
flash.
Pressing the Display button will bring up a
thumbnail preview index so you can quickly select an image to display. The Index
Playback Format can be set in the Playback menu for 4, 9, or 16 images. The left/right/up/down
buttons of the 4-way controller are used to highlight an image, and its exposure date and
frame number are displayed at the bottom of the LCD. Press the Display button again
to display the highlighted image in single-frame playback.
Press the Magnification button to go into Zoom-Playback mode; the image can be
enlarged between 2.4 and 4.7x depending on recorded image size.
You then scroll around the enlarged image using the 4-way controller buttons. A red frame is
displayed indicating the portion of the image that will be
enlarged; depress the enlarge or reduce buttons to change the degree of magnification. Press the
center button of the 4-way controller to display the outlined image area.
Both RAW and JPEG images can be magnified in playback mode.
The Play Menu has options to Delete images, Format the memory card, select one or all folders to view in playback, Protect/Unprotect images, select 4, 9, or 16 image index playback, play a slide show, select images for DPOF printing, create an index print, and cancel printing. |
