Here we have half-pressed the shutter release and the camera has selected
the AF zone as indicated by the smaller, red colored AF brackets.

The LS753 has a very respectable Macro ("Close Up") mode. The coverage is 5
- 100cm (2 - 39in.) in wide angle and 30 - 100cm (12 - 39in.) in telephoto.

This is an animated view of the exposure modes that can be selected from the
"Camera Modes" display (Auto, Portrait, Close Up, SCN (Beach), Video, and
Favorites.) This display has replaced the usual mode dial, you select the
desired mode by using the jog dial located on the top (see our Features & Controls page.)

Here are the Scene modes you can choose from under the SCN icon on the
"Camera Modes" display.

Exposure Compensation - Override metering by ±2.0EV in 0.5EV steps Burst - On or Off Picture Quality - Best 5MP (2560x1920), Best 4.4MP (3:2; 2560x1706), Better 3.1MP (2048x1536), or Good 1.7MP (1496x1122) White Balance - Auto, Daylight, Tungsten, Fluorescent ISO - Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, or 800 when using "GOOD" picture quality Color - Color, Black & White or Sepia Exposure Metering - Multi-pattern, center-weight or spot Focus Zone - Multi-zone or center-zone Long Time Exposure - Select a shutter speed of 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, 8.0, or 16.0 seconds Image Storage - Select internal memory or Auto Set Album - On or Off (Pre-select album names before shooting) Setup Menu - Enter SETUP menu

You can record VGA (640x480) MPEG4 movies at 13fps with audio. The length of
the movie is limited only by the available space on your memory card. You
can select a maximum clip length of 5, 15 or 30 seconds if desired. The
optical zoom can be preset before recording but not during.
