Kodak LS443 Zoom

The LS443 Zoom is equipped with a Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon f2.8 3X optical zoom 35 - 105mm (35 mm equivalent) f/2.8 aspherical zoom lens. To further extend the focal range there is a 3.3x digital zoom.

The autofocus range is 2 ft. to infinity in normal mode and in macro mode it covers from 5 to 28 inches.

The optical viewfinder is large and bright with framing marks and autofocus target but it has no dioptric adjustment. The LED on the side indicates power, flash and autofocus status. The color LCD is automatically turned on when you switch the camera into macro mode to avoid parallax problems with the optical finder at close range.

The 1.8-inch color LCD can be used for preview, review and menu operations. The refresh rate when used as a live viewfinder is realtime (30fps). This is a new Indoor/Outdoor type of color LCD that is much easier to see in bright sunlight.

On the top right is the rocker switch control for the zoom lens. The Share button is used to quickly print or email photos, more on this later in the review. The Delete button is used to erase images. The Menu button calls up or dismisses the onscreen menu system. The Review button puts the camera in Playback mode.
