Playback Modes
|
When you rotate the Mode dial to the Playback position, the last picture taken is displayed
full screen. You can move backward or forward through the images using the LEFT and RIGHT
buttons. The amount of overlay information displayed is controlled by the Info. Box option
in the playback menu (see below). Information across the bottom shows time/date of capture
and 33/33 which means image 33 of 33 total. Pressing the shutter release will record a voice
memo (up to 60 seconds max).
Here you can see the extended information display when the Info. Box option is set to On.
It displays the histogram and information to indicate the aperture (F5.7)/shutter speed
(1/711) used, exposure compensation (0.0), Image size used (7M), record mode (Auto), and ISO
used (80).
You can quickly search through stored images using the Index playback function which is
actuated by pressing the Wide zoom control button. Four, nine or sixteen thumbnail size
images can be displayed and you can select one using the 4-way controller and then pressing
the Telephoto zoom or func./ok button.
The image can be magnified up to 8x in various steps by pressing the telephoto zoom button.
Once the image is enlarged at any step, you can move around inside of it using the 4-way
controller buttons.
The Trim option lets you crop a portion of an image and save it as a new file.
You can also resize images to a smaller resolution.
The Red-eye Removal function allows you to correct the occurrence of red-eye in you people
photos.
Movie clips can be played in the camera with audio thanks to the built-in speaker or on a TV set with the supplied A/V cables.
You get "VCR-like" buttons to control the playback of movie clips.
You can also shorten (edit the length) a movie clip.
Pressing the MENU button brings up this page of options. You can Protect images from
deletion, delete an image or all images, choose the DPOF (Direct Print Order Format)
settings, enable/disable the Info. ox display, Trim (crop) an image, resize an image, rotate
an image, start an automated slide show of stored photos, as well as use the Remove Red-eye
function.
The Sound Memo options lets you record memos or notes up to 60 seconds in length which
are attached to still images. You can overwrite or delete previous memos.
The Setup sub-menu lets you format the internal memory or SD card, set the camera (beep) sounds and volume, adjust the LCD brightness, choose power saver options, set the time/date, set the world time, reset file numbering, choose the language of the menus, select the video format (NTSC or PAL), copy images from internal memory to your SD card, reset all settings to factory defaults, check the FW (Firmware Version) as well as select the USB mode (PC, PC PTP, Printer). |
