Please excuse the quality of our screen captures. This GE camera does not come with an A/V cable, so we had to photograph the LCD.

In any of the shooting modes, the camera allows you to change the amount of information that is shown on the LCD screen. The information shown here gives you a great amount of detail about the camera settings. In auto mode, shown above, there are very few settings that you have control over. 

Scene Modes: auto scene, landscape, sport, beach, sunset, fireworks, night landscape, multi-exposure, snow, children, ID, glass, photo frame, panning shot, text, portrait, distorting mirror, party, indoor, leaf, museum, night portrait, pet mode - dog, pet mode - cat, fax.

The camera itself has six shooting modes: manual mode, auto mode, movie mode, panorama mode, scene mode, face beautifier. All of these shooting modes are automatic, the only difference is a varying amount of control and special settings for each mode.

Manual Mode Quick Menu:
  • Exposure Metering - AiAE, Spot, Multi
  • Image Size - 14M, 12M, 10M, 8M, 5M, 3M, 2M, VGA
  • OIS - On or Off
  • Continuous AF - On or Off
  • HDR -  On or Off
  • Focus Mode - Single - AF, Multi - AF, Object Tracking
  • White Balance - Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent, Fluorescent CWF, Incandescent, Manual WB
  • Color Mode - Normal, Vivid, Retro, Black and White, Negative, 70's Film, Pop Art, Rock
  • Menu - Press set to enter the menu

Manual Menu:
  • Quality - Best, Fine, Normal
  • AF Assist Beam - On or Off
  • Digital Zoom - On or Off
  • Date Imprint - Off, Date, Date/Time

When the cameras in movie mode, it has the ability to capture 1080p HD videos at 30fps. While recording, the cameras 10x optical zoom lens is available, giving the videographer more creative freedom and shooting options. Sound is captured by a small built-in microphone on the front of the camera.
