GE has finally entered the Digital camera market with several exciting digicams for 2007. The GE A830 is the one of two models in their "A" series of compact cameras and features 8-megapixels of resolution combined with a 3x optical zoom lens as well as five stylish colors schemes to choose from: Red, Blue, White, Silver, and Black.

In addition to its compact and stylish design, the A830 offers and Electronic Image Stabilization mode, with helps reduce the effects of camera-shake in your photos. Other features include high ISO capabilities (up to ISO 1600), Face Detection AF, MPEG4 (640x480/320x240, 30 or 15fps) movie recording, 9-point autofocus system as well as a large 2.5-inch TFT color LCD display.

Camera data is stored in its 26 megabytes of internal memory and on optional SD/SDHC type memory cards (up to 4GB). The camera is powered by two standard AA type batteries. GE claims you can capture up to 100 shots with Alkaline batteries or up to 400 shots with a set of high-capacity NiMH cells. Data is transferred to computer via USB and you can print directly to any PictBridge compatible printer. Still images are ExifPrint and PictBridge compatible.
