Bottom Line
The Fujifilm X-A2 offers very high image quality, while giving relatively inexperienced photographers plenty of easy-to-use features as they're migrating from a beginner-level camera to this mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. The X-A2 also has all of the advanced, manual control options you'd expect in this type of model, allowing you to learn to use those features at your own pace as your skills improve. The X-A2 is a nice looking camera, and it offers an LCD screen that can rotate almost 180 degrees for self-portraits. It would have been nice if Fujifilm had given this model touchscreen capabilities, a viewfinder, or more control buttons, and its operational speeds could be a little better, but the drawbacks to this model are relatively minor. It's a solid mirrorless ILC option that's well worth considering. Read more in our Full Conclusion.

The Fujifilm X-A2 is an ultra-light, selfie-ready compact system camera (CSC) that boasts a 16.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor, the EXR Processor II, and a 3.0-inch LCD display that tilts up to 175°. It ships with the FUJINON XC16-50mm II (24-76mm) F3.5-5.6 OIS zoom lens, but there is two lens kit that includes a FUJINON XC50-230mm II (76-350mm) F4.5-6.7 OIS lens as well. Thanks to the camera's image processor, Fuji claims the X-A2 starts up in less than a second. The AutoFocus (AF) is also noted to be blazingly fast, at 0.3 seconds, with the option to engage Eye AF, Auto Macro AF, and Multi-Target AF depending on your shooting scenario. For lower-lighting conditions and long zoom telephoto shots, 3.5-stops of optical image stabilization are available too. Advanced users, or pros looking for a secondary camera, will enjoy the ability to capture JPEG and RAW image formats.

The X-A2 also boasts a number of stylistic and convenience features. Built-in Wi-Fi allows the camera to, in conjunction with the INSTAX Share App installed on an iOS or Android device, wirelessly transfer images as well as wirelessly print stills on INSTAX Share Printers. Multiple Exposure Mode allows users to lay multiple images over one another. And Film Simulation Mode, which has just added "Classic Chrome", aims to recreate classic Fujifilm stocks from the 1960s and 1970s.
