Features & Controls
Fuji equipped the
Z800EXR with a Fujinon 5x optical zoom lens that is built entirely
inside the camera. It covers a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 35-175mm (F3.9-F4.7). This
provides a range that favors the telephoto end, however is not very wide. A large cover slides up
and down to protect the lens and flash when the power is off, as well as
acting as the power switch.
Focus Range:
Located just to the left of the lens is the Z800EXR's compact flash unit. It offers modes for Auto, Forced On, Forced Off, Red-Eye Reduction and Slow Synchro. This is a tiny flash unit, which offers a max. effective range of up to 12.8ft. at ISO 800.Normal: 2.0ft. - Infinity (W), 3.3ft. - Infinity (T)Macro: 3.5in. - 2.6ft. (W), 1.3ft. - 2.6ft. (T)

On the right hand side of the camera you will find a combination I/O port, which is hidden under a small protective door. This feature handles both USB connectivity and A/V output, with the supplied cables. The USB cable will allow you to connect the camera to your PC for uploading files, or to your PictBridge compliant photo printer for direct printing. The A/V cable allows you to share images and videos with friends and family on your television set.

The
Z800EXR offers 30MB of internal memory, which won't last you long (maybe ten photos max). Thankfully it also utilizes a SD/SDHC memory card slot for optional flash cards.
The Z800EXR is powered by a NP-45A, 3.7V 720mAh rechargeable Li-Ion battery. This battery is capable of providing up to 170 images on a single charge (using CIPA standards). Also shown here is the included quick charger, which features fold-away prongs. This is handy for keeping the charger with you at all times, without the need of a power cord.
