Playback Screens & Menus
By Josh Fate
Index mode can be entered by pressing the negative magnifying glass on the left of the LCD. The different sized thumbnails allow you to quickly and comfortably search through your stored images.
Pressing the positive magnifying glass allows you to zoom in on any of your images. Once you have zoomed in, you can use the 4-way controller to scroll around the image. This is great for critical inspection of focus, etc.
The playback menu allows you to search, erase, and mark images for upload. There are several editing options available as well as a slideshow option and program to help you make photobooks.
Cropping allows you to "trim" your image inside the camera. This is an easy way to adjust your images composition or remove an unwanted item from the edges.
Fuji has also included a full RAW conversion suite on the camera. This allows you to convert and adjust all of your RAW images on the camera without spending the extra time on your computer.
Resize allows you change the size of an image, making smaller copies of the original. This is also an easier and faster way than using a computer.
Pressing down when you come to a movie allows you to play it on the LCD screen. With an optional HDMI cable, your movies can also be viewed on any HDTV.
