Features & Controls
The FinePix V10 is equipped with a Fujinon 3.4x optical zoom lens that provides for an equivalent focal range of 38 to 130mm. The maximum aperture is F2.8 to F5.5. The lens is retracted into the body on power down and has a built-in lens protector.
The auto focus system is a contrast type with a Normal range of
approx. 2.0 ft. to infinity. The Macro closeup range is
from 3.5 in. - 2.6 ft. (W) / 1.3 ft. (T) - 2.6ft.
The camera has a built-in focus-assist illuminator to aid in low light focusing
and has a maximum range of 4m at wide angle.
The built-in flash has modes for: Auto, Red-eye Reduction, Forced Flash, Suppressed
Flash, Slow Synchro, Red-eye Reduction + Slow Synchro. The flash effective range
is from 1.0 - 14.4 ft (Wide), 2.0 - 7.5 ft (Tele), 1.0 ft - 2.6 ft (Macro).
The V10 lacks an optical viewfinder, the large 3.0-inch color TFT LCD monitor is used as the live viewfinder with 100% frame coverage. The LCD features an Auto Gain-Up mode for low-light use and the user can also press the trashcan button to manually activate this feature when needed. A secondary feature is the built-in games: Number Puzzle, Break Out, Shooting Game and Maze that can be played on the big color screen

The "green arrow" button puts the camera in review mode.

The 4-way selector is used for selecting images in review mode and accessing the menu
system. In record mode you press "Down" to
enable the self-timer, the "Left" button toggles the Macro focus on and off and the
Flash modes are controlled with the "Right" button.
The MENU/OK button calls up and dismisses the menu screens and accepts
The DISP/BACK button controls the amount of data on the LCD and lets you "back" out of
Controls on top: The main power button, the shutter release with the
zoom lens controls around it.
The "F" button enables
the Photo Mode menu to change image size/quality, ISO sensitivity and Color mode.
The V10 has a multi-purpose I/O port that
has the Audio-Video Out port which allows connection to
a TV for playback, the format is selectable for NTSC or PAL standard.
The USB 2.0 hi-speed port is for data I/O - a PictBridge compatible printer
can also be connected to the USB port for direct-printing.
The 5v DC
INput jack is for the AC power adapter/battery charger.
The V10 is equipped with a xD-Picture Card slot and is supplied with a 16MB xD card. It's compatible with any xD card from 16MB to 1GB. The battery is also located in this compartment.
Approximate Storage Capacities
Power is supplied by a high-capacity NP-40 Li-ion 3.6v 750mAh rechargeable battery. It will provide enough power to capture up to 170 shots per charge.
